We are thrilled to introduce the new Fableborne Moderators program! Our goal? Crafting an enhanced experience for our beloved community with clearer, gamified structures for those who champion our community spirit.

Fableborne Moderators: Overview

We believe in a structured approach to moderation, ensuring that our moderators are well-prepared and aligned with our community values.

Requirements to be a Fableborne Mod

Passion for Fableborne: An enthusiasm for our community and its values.

Experience: While not mandatory, previous moderation or related experience is a plus.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and empathetically.

Maturity and Judgement: Deal with various situations responsibly and fairly.

Time Commitment: Dedication to actively participate and contribute to the community.

Trial Moderator:

Entry Point: Every aspiring moderator begins here.

Duration: a trial period of 1 month

Duties: Monitor channels, respond to queries, maintain guidelines, initiate discussions.

Rights: Mute members temporarily, pin messages, provide feedback and suggestions to the team, initiate at least 1 community discussion three days a week.

Assessment: Quality of community discussions, adherence to guidelines, engagement level, and feedback quality.

Full Moderator:

Transition: Successful completion of 1 month Trial period.

Duties: Manage conflicts, enforce policies, drive engagement, mentor Trial Mods.

Rights: Ban members, manage channels/roles, adjust permissions, manage bots.

Assessment: Continuation of Trial criteria, with added focus on conflict resolution, mentoring, and proactive community suggestions.

How Do We Decide?

Transitioning from a Trial to Full Moderator is more than just a passage of time. Here are our guidelines:

Engagement: Consistent, quality participation in community dialogues.

Initiative: Frequency and quality of discussions initiated.

Teamwork: Collaborative efforts with Full Moderators, especially in complex situations.

Feedback Quality: Constructive feedback provided to the Fableborne team.

Community Respect: Strict adherence to community guidelines and rules.

Selection Process

Application: Interested candidates should fill out the application form here.

Review: We will thoroughly review each application, focusing on experience, motivation, and alignment with Fableborne values.

Trial Period: Selected candidates, after signing an NDA, will embark on a one-month trial as a Trial Moderator.

Rewards & Recognition

We understand that the needs and aspirations of our community, and by extension our moderators, evolve as our project progresses through various stages. Our approach to rewards is to ensure that they are relevant, meaningful, and aligned with the current stage of the project.

Current Openings & Review Schedule

Immediate Need: We’re actively seeking 2–3 moderators at the moment.

Post-Immediate Need: Once these spots are filled, we’ll continue to accept applications but will shift to a less frequent review process. This means if you apply after our immediate spots are filled, your application will be kept on file and reviewed periodically as and when new positions open up.
