GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Trial of Seasons (or ‘ToS’) are community faction competitions with a specific theme over a ‘Season’ which can last between three to four weeks, where the Fableborne community engages in various different challenges throughout the season.
Members of the community choose between one of four Factions of the Shatterlands and then battle for points on a global faction leaderboard. Points can be obtained from the overall seasonal challenge and weekly events.
Seasonal Challenge
- A challenge across all participants throughout the whole season
- Every participant can accumulate points for their faction
- A set amount of whitelisting spots will be given away based on the faction’s ranking at the end of each season
Weekly Event
- A weekly event that lasts 1–3 days
- Participants need to put in effort to win
- Winners will obtain a whitelisting spot and points towards the Seasonal Challenge for their faction
At the end of each season, we will distribute a set amount of whitelisting spots to each faction based on the final Faction Leaderboard, ranking from 1 to 4. The more members a faction has, the easier a faction can rank higher, but more faction members need to compete against whitelisting spots, so consider joining a faction with fewer members … or join the winning team.
While the conditions to obtain points will vary between each season, the Global Faction Leaderboard will persist throughout the seasons. Additionally you can only join one faction and your choice is permanent so make your choice wisely.
SEASON 1: VOICES FROM THE AETHER
The first Trial of Seasons is called ‘Voices from the Aether’ and its theme is all about being a Fableborne who just entered a new world. While you find yourself in a broken world, you team up with friends and rival new foes, while you try to make yourself heard in this new realm.
Season 1 is intentionally designed to be easy to enter for everyone, while we build up and develop the community. Some mechanics of Season 1 will carry into upcoming seasons. You will also be able to carry on some progression from one season to another.
SEASON 1 CHALLENGE
Season 1’s Challenge introduces a leveling system on the Fableborne Discord Server. You will be able to obtain XP by just being active, but you also will be able to obtain XP by creating content, participating in Weekly Events or being a helpful community member.
How to obtain XP?
- Be active on Discord (but don’t spam)
- Create Fableborne content
- Participating in Weekly Events
- Be a helpful community member
The challenge’s goal is to gain as much XP as possible. At the end of each week, each faction will gain a set amount of points towards the Global Faction Leaderboard based on the XP ranking of their individual members.
Every member who reaches the max level 70 automatically receives a whitelisting spot.
Additionally each week, the top 10 players on the XP Leaderboard, regardless of their faction, will also receive a whitelisting spot.

SEASON 1 EVENTS
We will host one event per week, and each Seasonal Event will be a competition in and of itself and will be announced at the beginning of the week. Each event will have multiple winners and these winners will gain a whitelisting spot as well as points toward their faction.
SEASON 1 REWARDS
Discord Role
- Once Season 1 is over, faction members will be able to claim a unique role for a limited time only as a token of your participation in the Season.
- Each season will have different roles, so make sure to not miss out.
Esper Coins
- Once Season 1 has concluded, every faction member will gain a set amount of currency ‘Esper Coins’, based on their individual level (breakpoints) and their overall faction ranking.
- This currency will be used in upcoming seasons.
Whitelisting Spots
- For the top 10 highest level players on Discord each week.
- Everyone who reaches level 70.
- For winners of the Seasonal Events each week.
- Giveaway at the end of Season 1 based on your faction ranking.
