The Shatterlands Invitational
Let us start with an enormous thank you from the entire Fableborne Team. Just last week we showed the world in a very limited Pre-Alpha Playtest a small glimpse of Fableborne to a few selected content creators and community members. The amount of positive and astounding feedback we have received from everyone has blown us away.
Fableborne is our way of showcasing how blockchain technology and game design principles can come together to create a meaningful experience for the masses. The encouragement that the last years and months of developing Fableborne was worth the effort and gives us the confidence that we are on the right track to build this amazing game with you together!
As we enter the second and last weekend of the Pre-Alpha, we will be inviting a much wider array of players from the community, DAOs and Guilds to this playtest. However this weekend will be no ordinary one. Before we head back and continue building the world of Fableborne, we’re excited to kickstart the first ever competitive in-game event, the Shatterlands Invitational.
OVERVIEW
Welcome to the Shatterlands Invitational! Are you ready to compete against fellow community members, guilds and creators to compete for fame and glorious prizes?
In this challenge, players need to hone their skills and prove themselves by completing 15+ levels and showcase their raiding skills. It’s a race to the top as hundreds of handpicked players from the Fableborne community, ReadyPlayerDAO, Merit Circle, IndiGG, Promisphere, Metanomy, Coeus Guild, WolvesDAO, and ODA Clan compete for a share of a generous 2,500 USDC prize pool and a total of 100,000 Esper Coins, which can be used on the Fableborne Discord to unlock perks and to participate in NFT Raffles .
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Day 1: Qualifier
Day 2: Grand Finals
The Shatterlands Invitational runs across 3days from October 15, 2022 9 AM UTC to October 18, 2022 9 AM UTC.
On the first day of the Shatterlands Invitational, hundreds of players participate in an open qualifier. Their objective is to secure a spot in the Top 300. After a 48h period, the Top 300 participants will move on to the Grand Finals.
In the Shatterlands Invitational Grand Finals, players will battle it out for a share of the generous prize pool of 2,500 USDC and a total of 100,000 Esper Coins as they compete to secure a spot and be one of the Top 50 players.
During the course of the event, players will test their raiding skills and strategies as they embark on a quest to destroy bases and accumulate trophies. Players will be ranked according to the number of trophies they accumulate over the course of each run.
After completing a raid, players can reset their score as many times as they like and restart their progress. However, players will only be ranked on their overall trophy count and every reset will reset the score back to 0. Players will also gain an edge over their opponents in the leaderboard if they finish the raids faster than others. For example the player with the same trophy score but lower completion time will be ranked higher. At the end of day 1, player scores will be reset and eligible participants will move on to the Grand Finals on day 2.
Players who are unable to reach Top 300, will retain access to Fableborne and will be allowed to explore the game at their own pace.
ELIGIBILITY & RULES
- Participants must be aged 18 or over
- Participants must have a valid Discord ID and Government issued IDs to ensure compliance with regulations
- Participants in the Top 50 will be paid in USDC. Any participant with incompatible wallets will forego their prize and the player next in line will be eligible.
- In order to receive USDC from this event, participants are required to have a valid Wallet ID, and must provide it to Pixon Games before or after the event has concluded.
- In order to receive Esper Coins from this event, participants are required to have a valid Discord ID, must have joined the Fableborne Discord and verified their account.
- Participants can play only on one account, anyone found sharing accounts or access to the game in any other way, will be disqualified from the event
- Any player that violates these rules, misbehaves on the Fableborne community and social media platforms as well as in the game, or mistreats the Fableborne Team in any way, will face disciplinary action on their accounts associated with these platforms, which may lead to disqualification or ban from future events.
- In case of a player being disqualified,, the participant will forego rewards and the next eligible player shall receive the reward.
- Pixion Games reserves the right to update and change regulations and notifying players via their publishing channels
- Pixion Games EULA, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy apply.
Players who reach Top 50 on the final score after the competition has concluded and become eligible for rewards will be given a form to identify and verify their identity. Pixion Games will be the sole handler of such data and will ensure security and data protection as per applicable laws. We will ensure that these players have a mechanism to activate data deletion as per statutory requirements.
